The scenery on the way down to Cork was really pretty, lots of green fields, cows, horses and lots and lots of sheep. Cork is a really pretty city, our hostel is up a big hill just a couple blocks from the city center. We decided to just do some walking today and get a feel for the city, it seems to be a lot less tourist-y than Dublin but quite a bit smaller too. There are a couple of canals that run through the center of the city, that connect to the coast that isn't too far off.
We found a really beautiful cathedral walking around the city, it had some great relief sculptures of Saints on the front.
We checked out more of the city, there's lots of little shops and pubs, an English Market that's been operating in the same spot since the 1700s, and lots of colorful rows of houses.
Sian's been feeling a bit sick today, so she's napping while I do so more drawing. Tomorrow we're headed to Blarney Castle to kiss the Blarney stone!
