We had to visit the Cliffs of Moher on our second day in Doolin since they are the number one attraction that people come too see in Ireland, and really close to where we're staying. Unfortunately the weather in the morning was really terrible again. So we decided not to join our roommates in biking to the Cliffs in the pouring rain, and instead see if we could wait out the storm. In the meantime i worked in some new drawings.
Finally it cleared up and we decided to walk a trail that goes from our hostel to the Cliffs and is about eight kilometers long. The landscape was gorgeous, especially when the sun came out.
The walk was a bit more intense than we thought however, because of all the rain there were a few times we almost had to turn around.
But eventually we made it there, fairly exhausted since it was uphill pretty much the whole way. The highest of the Cliffs are about 700 feet above the water, an there is nothing stopping you from getting as close to the edge as you'd like.
On the opposite side it is all pastures and cows, who get some of the best scenery in Ireland.
We walked along most of the cliffs then caught a bus back to Doolin since there was no way we were about to hike back at that point.
