We got to Galway today, we caught a bus up from Doolin that took a couple hours. We happened to get to the city at the same time the yearly horse races are in, which are the biggest races in Ireland. That means its pretty crazy here right now, and there are so many people in the city all dressed up in fancy clothes. We decided to go to a museum instead for the afternoon, so we checked out the Galway city museum which had lots of stuff about the city. Like some old dance hall photos, and posters from WWI.
There also was a famous statue of Padraic O'Conaire a writer from Galway that used to be outside in a square but was moved to the museum when it was decapitated.
Then we walked to the harbor and saw some swans and ducks.
And walked back through the town and saw some kid buskers playing Irish music.
